What to Expect

What to Expect

A stay at the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills begins with an evaluation by our physician. The information gathered during this evaluation is used to develop the patient’s treatment plan and set goals for the hospital stay. Whenever possible, we encourage the patient and their family members to be active participants in the goal-setting process.

Our nursing team provides care for patients 24 hours a day. Team members work with each patient to ensure their medical and care needs are met throughout their stay. Depending on the patient’s treatment plan, needs, and goals, other medical professionals may also be involved in their care. Other members of the patient’s care team may include consulting physician specialists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, respiratory therapists, wound care specialists, dieticians, case managers, and other support service providers.

If you have any questions or concerns about what to expect at the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills, please contact us and let us know how we can help.
